In 2019, Hong Kong Customs announced the blueprint of Smart Customs comprising of the four-key-pillar concept. Among them, the “Smart Boundary Management” and “Smart Trade Facilitation” aim at enhancing the capabilities of Customs clearance and promoting trade facilitation between Hong Kong and other economies so as to reinforce Hong Kong’s position as the International Business Hub for the Greater Bay Area.
In years, Hong Kong Customs makes use of E-lock to enhance supply chain security, implement trade facilitation measures and uplift Customs clearance efficiency. With “Smart Customs” as the blueprint for development, Hong Kong Customs will fully unleash the strengths and potentials of E-lock, and continue to create possibilities.
