Ir Dr Alan LAM Hiu Fung
Chairman of the Board of Directors, Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre
Ir Dr Alan Lam is the founder and CEO of Sengital Limited and serves as the chairman of multiple spin-off companies including SenMedia Limited, Medisen Limited, HK R&D Limited and FunWin Game Limited. He is currently focusing on IoT and AI business. He serves CUHK and CityU as the adjunct professor to teach AI and IoT courses.
Under the leadership of Ir Dr Lam, Sengital and its subsidiaries have won numerous prestigious local and international awards for their product innovation and excellence. Ir Dr Lam was named one of the five local innovation heroes by the Hong Kong Science Park in 2014 for his excellence in R&D projects commercialisation and was selected as one of the awardees of 2015 Hong Kong Ten Outstanding Young Persons.
Ir Dr Lam is dedicated to professional and public services. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre from 2021-now; Director of the Board of the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) from 2014-2020; Member of the Innovation and Technology Support Programme (ITSP) Assessment Panel of Innovation and Technology Commission from 2012-2018; Member of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers; Founding Chairman of Technology Incubation Network (TIN) and Committee Member of a number of electronics and technologies associations including HKEIA and HKETA; and advisory board member in different committee of HKTDC.
Ir Dr Lam is passionate in helping the young generation. He serves as the Chairman of the board of Hong Kong Academy of Gifted Education, member of Advisory Committee on Gifted Education, member of Committee on Home-School Cooperation, as well as Advisory Board Member of the Engineering Faculty, Engineering departments, and entrepreneurship centres of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, and Vocational Training Council.
In addition, Ir Dr Alan Lam is the chairman of the CUHK Federation of Alumni Association Education Foundation and was the School supervisor and Sponsoring Body Manager of several secondary and primary schools. He also likes to share his entrepreneurial experience and positive attitude to the young people, and supports them in pursuing their entrepreneurial dreams.
With the new position in LSCM, Ir Dr Alan Lam is looking forward to working together with different industry partners in order to develop world-class technologies for the logistics and supply chain and other sectors.
